Silk Care Guide
Silk is a living fabric, treat it gently, and it will last generations.
Storage
Store in a breathable muslin or cotton cloth, away from direct sunlight and humidity. Avoid plastic covers, which trap moisture and damage fibres. Refold periodically to prevent permanent crease lines.
Cleaning
Dry clean only, preferably with a trusted silk-specialist cleaner. Avoid washing at home, silk is delicate and prone to colour bleed. Spot-clean minor stains immediately with a soft, dry cloth.
Ironing
Iron on low heat, always on the reverse side. Use a thin cloth between the iron and fabric to protect the sheen.
Wearing Care
Avoid direct contact with perfume, deodorant, or hairspray. Let the saree breathe between wears.
With the right care, your Tantura silk saree isn't just an outfit, it's a piece you will pass down.
